Re: Air Travel with the Luggie: If you are planning to take the luggie on a plane then you should be able to get permission to ride right up to the plane door and then fold down for loading into the hold. In this instance the battery will need to be removed - a simple 1 click operation - and taken in hand luggage. The airline will require the following information about the battery - 16 grams lithium & 220 watts. Current DOT regulations are for between 8-25 grams lithium and up to 300 watts. Contact your airline well in advance of travel to ensure you have all the required permissions.
